The Inaka Project and Schools
The Inaka project works with schools in a variety of ways. It focuses on schools partly because Gerard Brindley is an educator who works with students who have Special Needs.
The project aims to provide an easy and unique fund raising opportunity for schools by providing copies of Inaka: Child’s Eyes for sale at a heavily reduced price, allowing schools to earn $5 for every book sold. For more information simply click here to download a comprehensive pamphlet.
Or, contact us through the contact page.
If a school is able to sell 100 books it not only raises $500 but Gerard Brindley will also be available to visit the school for free to either speak to the school as a whole or to take small groups for creative writing workshops.
Every school that participates in fund raising with the Inaka Project is able to access the Inaka Nature Gallery. This is a newly launched online photographic library. Students from participating schools are able to upload their photographs of nature to this site, celebrate their local environment, and view other school’s photographs. This is a great way for students to participate in a study of their natural environment, partake in a virtual photographic exhibition or simply get outside and enjoy the sunshine.
